If it is not a return to normalcy, it is a firm step in that direction. With the de facto archiving of the green pass and the restriction of the indoor mask requirement, the rules for pandemic management will be loosened again as of May 1. Most of the regulations in the latest anti-Covid decree of March 24 are set to expire on April 30. Those related to the green pass requirement (in its "basic" and "enhanced" versions) will not be extended by the government. The green certificate will no longer be required for any activity except hospital visits. While on the indoor mask front, the incoming ordinance by Health Minister Roberto Speranza (along with an amendment to the March 24 anti-Covid decree law) , is expected to extend the requirement for one more month only in certain areas, from public transportation to workplaces.
No more mask requirement instead in indoor bars and restaurants (where they could already be taken off at the table), stores, malls and museums. Probable goodbye to face masks even in the few outdoor places where the requirement still applied(stadiums and outdoor movie theaters).
